Valerie's interest for floral design started in 2000. After high school she worked for Conroy's Flowers as a sales clerk, later refining her management, customer service, and designing skills. Educated at California State University of Long Beach, she obtained a degree in Women's Studies, with an emphasis in Social Change and Social Policy.
With an intent to indulge a growing passion for flowers and event planning, she moved to New York City. Valerie designed for Next Level Floral Design, coordinating weddings and corporate accounts in Midtown. She later worked for Surroundings Flowers on the Upper West Side. Her experience in Manhattan then brought her to Queens, as Event Coordinator for the Queens Botanical Garden, paving the way for "green" events taking place in one of the Nation's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum Certified Buildings.
She relocated back to her hometown of Los Angeles in 2009 and established her own botanical design business in 2010. You can find her design studio in the heart of Highland Park, on York & Fig. She is the current preferred vendor for the JW Marriott @ LA Live and the Millenium Biltmore in Downtown LA.
